Organ Restoration
Historic and sympathetic restoration of pipe organs and their mechanisms.
Restoration begins with understanding the instrument: who built it, how it was intended to speak, and what has been altered in the intervening decades. Only then can decisions be made about what should be conserved, what should be repaired, and what should be returned.
Work is carried out on historic principles, retaining original material wherever it can safely be retained. Actions, soundboards, bellows and pipework are treated as a single organism rather than a set of parts.
